Man Dead of Apparent Suicide after Police Chase in Iredell & Surry Counties
A man was killed Thursday (July 11) following a Police pursuit in Iredell and Surry counties. The deceased is 20-year-old Dashawn Samuels of Charlotte. Just after two o’clock Thursday afternoon, a Trooper with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol attempted to stop a vehicle on Interstate 77 in northern Iredell County. The vehicle had been reported as stolen in Statesville.
