Two suspects face felony charges after Iredell County Sheriff’s Office deputies found illegal narcotics in their vehicle during a traffic stop. Sheriff Darren Campbell announced the arrests of Joshua Allen Williamson, 28, and Kadi Woodman Laws, 34, both of Payne Road in Stony Point, in a news release on Wednesday.

Habitat for Humanity of the Charlotte Region, Inc. is applying for United States Department of Agriculture’s Rural Housing Service Housing Preservation Grant (USDA-RD-HCFP-HPG-2024) to complete repairs on qualifying owner-occupied homes in Iredell County outside of the City/Town limits of Statesville and Mooresville for low- to- moderate-income residents. These repairs allow homeowners to remain in their homes and help to preserve the community’s affordable housing stock. This program will not address work that is purely cosmetic in nature. On Thursday, just after 2 pm, a NC Highway Patrol Trooper attempted to stop a vehicle on Interstate 77 in Northern Iredell County. The vehicle had been reported as stolen in Statesville. The pursuit reached speeds of over 100 mph and ended in Surry County when the stolen vehicle crashed.
Stony Point man, woman facing drug charges in Iredell County
Two Stony Point residents were arrested in Iredell County on multiple drug-related charges. Joshua Allen Williamson, 28, of Stony Point, is charged with felony possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, felony possession of marijuana, felony possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine, felony maintaining a vehicle for the sale and use of a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor possession of marijuana paraphernalia and an infraction for rear lamps violation, the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

Two Stony Point Residents Arrested on Drug Charges
28-year-old Joshua Allen Williamson and 34-year-old Kadi Woodman Laws, both from the same address on Payne Road in Stony Point, were arrested by Iredell County Sheriff’s Officers Sunday (July 7) on drug charges. They were both charged with felony counts of possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, possession of marijuana, and possession with intent to sell or deliver methamphetamine, along with misdemeanor counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Williamson was also charged with felony maintaining a vehicle for the sale or use of a controlled substance and a rear lamps infraction.

Stony Point Duo Busted By Iredell County Sheriff’s Office
On Sunday, July 7, Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Lieutenant C. Little conducted a traffic stop on Old Mountain Road. During the stop, the occupants of the vehicle were identified as Josh Allen Williamson, age 28, and Kadi Woodman Laws, age 34. Both are listed as residents of the same location in Stony Point.
