DALLAS — A man was killed and multiple cars were struck by gunfire in a shooting in Old East Dallas late Wednesday night, police said. The shooting happened shortly before 11 p.m. in the 3500 block of Munger Avenue, near Hall Street and U.S. 75. One man was shot, and he died, according to police at the scene. Multiple cars were also shot during the incident, according to police and footage from the scene.

The City of Denton has reported the detection of West Nile Virus in mosquitoes collected from several traps around the city. The recent findings include positive tests from three additional locations: near the intersection of Montecito Drive and Ryan Road, Woodland Street at Brown Drive, and the Pecan Creek Water Reclamation Plant at S.
