Shannen Doherty's haunting last post on social media as she made hopeful comments about treatment

Actress Shannen Doherty, who passed away yesterday shared a haunting update about her condition less than three weeks ago .

The 53-year-old actress who starred in Beverly Hills, 90210 and Charmed, passed away after a lengthy battle with breast cancer. After two years of remission, Doherty revealed to her followers in November that the cancer had returned and spread to her bones.

On June 25, Doherty posted a clip from her podcast Let's Be Clear. In the clip, she updated her listeners on her condition. She discussed her ongoing chemotherapy and the options that doctors are feeling hopeful about.

“It’s scary, it’s like a big wake up call,” Doherty said. “At the same time I gotta say, there is positivity there.”

In the last post on her Instagram, the star said: "I'm on chemotherapy. I have no idea if it's going to be three months or six months or if after three months it's to working and were gong change again.

"It's not something I can predict, it's not something my doctors can predict."

She went on: "The molecular structure of my cancer calls changed recently. It means that there's a lot more protocols for me to try.

"For the first time in a few months, I feel hopeful."

She continued to describe how recent changes in the molecular structure of her cancer cells have given the doctors more options.

Sadly, Doherty passed away on July 13. She is remembered as "The devoted daughter, sister, aunt, and friend was surrounded by her loved ones as well as her dog, Bowie," according to a statement from her publicist.
