Former US President Donald Trump suggested he might sack military generals and replace them with top NASCAR aces , while also harking back to his appreciation for leading football coaches, hinting they would handle military roles "so different."

Speaking to an enthusiastic crowd in Charlotte, North Carolina, avid motorsport fans were intrigued when Trump proposed that the finest NASCAR talents possess the aptitude needed for military command if he makes a successful comeback this November.

Trump has had his share of confrontations with Pentagon chiefs during and after his tenure, but at the Wednesday night rally in Charlotte, he floated the idea of enlisting NASCAR stars and gridiron gurus to reform Americas defense leadership.

"We appreciate talent, I say, 'Let me use these guys to guide our military a little bit.' When you can win so many races, that's okay, you guide," Trump mused. "Same thing with coaches, you take some of the greatest football this lot, stick 'em in charge... it's not so different."

Trump's admiration for NASCAR was on full view in May when he made a historic visit to the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, receiving an electric welcome as adoring fans chanted "USA" in unison.

The former president recently showed up at a NASCAR event to honour Memorial Day, demonstrating his deep appreciation for America's servicemen and women. Despite this show of respect, Trump has had a history of tensions with various military generals.

Previous military leaders have openly criticised Trump, who once made headlines in 2020 for his controversial comments regarding outdated U. S.

equipment left behind in Afghanistan. He believed it would've been more cost-effective to leave the gear there than transport it back.

Commenting on the military's handling of the situation, Trump remarked: "I don't want to tell you what I had to go through with these people. Some of the dumbest people I've ever met in my life."

During his recent address, Trump didn't hold back in criticising Kamala Harris following her endorsement from Joe Biden after he withdrew from the presidential race citing fitness concerns. With Biden focusing on his remaining time as current leader, Trump is riding high on a wave of confidence.

In a direct message aimed at silencing Harris and her supporters, Trump declared: "This November the American people are going to tell her 'No thanks, Kamala. You've done a terrible job you've been terrible at everything. You're ultra-liberal and we don't want you here. Kamala, you're fired.'".

Oh my God, he really has lost it! My mother had Alzheimer’s and she would say outlandish things just like trump does! It is sad! America has a lot to do and we need bright , younger , intelligent men and women to come together and get things done! We can’t live in LaLa Land like Trump! I hope both parties can come together and work for America!
