Before crossing the finish line, Richardson glanced back over her shoulder with an intense look that sent a shiver down the spine of viewers. She then focused on the finish line, yelling triumphantly as she crossed it first.

Richardson's glare didn't go unnoticed online, where fans were quick to comment. "The 'watch this' look Sha'Carri gives when she is about to pass everyone is so petty and so funny. A fan commented hilariously on Sha'Carri Richardson's competitive edge: "Sha'Carri looking over at those other runners just before she flies by them with that same look I give my husband and kids right before I find something they've 'looked everywhere for' is absolutely sending me. I love it! ".

"I just remember trusting my third leg, trusting Gabby, and knowing that she's going to put that stick in my hand no matter what, and to leave my best on the track," she confidently told reporters.

Even though Thomas and Richardson had tension during the Tokyo Games in 2021, Thomas lauded Richardson following their victory in the relay. She expressed her admiration by saying, "Obviously passing the baton to Sha'Carri is very special. She is so fast, you know we're in good hands when she gets her hand on the baton," before adding, "I felt very proud, and I was grateful to compete with these ladies, and we got the gold."

Richardson concluded her Olympic quest in Paris with the 4x100m relay being her final chance at gold, having previously secured a silver medal in the women's 100m event, trailing Saint Lucia's Julien Alfred.
