    Hunger Games star transforms into Disney princess but tear apart first Snow White trailer - 'flop of the year'

    One of the stars of the popular The Hunger Games franchise has transformed into a Disney princess, with the first trailer for Snow White unveiled.

    Rachel Zegler will take on the role of the black-haired, rosy-cheeked princess while Gal Gadot, who featured in Wonder Woman, will play the Evil Queen. Disney fans are gearing up for the film's release date set for March 21, 2025.

    The film was set to open in March of this year, but Disney pushed it back a year in light of the SAG-AFTRA strike . Now, Snow White is finally nearing her return to the big screen .

    Marc Web, known for directing the Amazing Spider-Man movies, is directing the feature, which has songs from The Greatest Showman and Dear Evan Hansen‘s Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

    The film comes nearly 90 years after Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs premiered in 1937. Many versions of the tale have made it to the screen including Lily Colins’ Mirror, Mirror and Snow White and the Hunstman, starring Kristen Stewart.

    The trailer's drop has been slammed by some Disney adults , though. The film's costumes, plot, and Evil Queen, whose intentions some viewers believe differ too much from the original story , have all come under fire.

    In the YouTube comments section of the trailer, one woman penned: "Am I the only one who thinks this White costume looks more like something improvised for a school play than something from a Disney movie?"

    Another gave their view: "There is no reason for Evil Queen to be jealous of snow white". A third said: "And the flop of the year award goes to ..."

    Another damning comment read: "Dear Disney... we don't want this. Get it through your head. When this movie causes a loss of millions remember we said this so many times."
