Sabrina Carpenter is facing mounting scrutiny about her looks, with some suggesting the star has had plastic surgery .

The Espresso signer, who is dating Irish heartthrob of the moment Barry Keoghan , shot to worldwide fame this year. However, she has been in the public eye for 10 years thanks to her work with Disney, and the star has undergone a transformation.

A Redditor shared pictures of the pop star on the platform, writing: "Sabrina Carpenter - something about her is just off to me but can’t figure out what it is."

Despite the star's undeniable beauty, Redditors piled in to discuss the prompt, with many suggesting the star's make-up could be to blame.

jjfmish wrote: "I think it’s the makeup, it’s cute and fits with the vibe she’s going for but is definitely STAGE MAKEUP."

icoulduseagreencard said: "Yeah, she’s actually really beautiful, but I think it’s mostly her stage makeup (which is supposed to be seen from afar) and lighting. I think heavy makeup doesn’t do her justice."

A plastic surgeon Dr Gary Linkov assessed the star on YouTube, and offered his professional opinion.

He told viewers: "In 2019 at the age of 20, Sabrina seems to be using make-up to highlight certain aspects of her face.

"But I also see some signs here of the potential introduction of lip filler, both to the upper lip and to the lower lip, to add some hydration and volume.

"And in 2024 at the age of 25, when I look at Sabrina's lips, to me the upper lip looks more arched — and that is probably due to the continued use of filler.

"This was likely done with small, tasteful, amounts of filler over years to create this appearance.

"This is not something that you just go in, get one syringe of filler or two syringes of filler at one time and call it a day. This is something that's done gradually, with a very calculated approach."

He also suggested the singer may have started using cheek filler, due to a fuller looking middle face.
