Viewers were quick to air their views on tonight's Olympics Closing Ceremony .

The curtain fell on the Olympic Games in Paris tonight, as the city hosted a final celebration before passing the baton to Los Angeles , the upcoming host city. Little has been leaked about the Closing Ceremony, but it's crafted by Thomas Jolly, the mind behind the Opening Ceremony.

The event will showcase epic performances from acclaimed acrobats, dancers, and vocalists, with megastars like Billie Eilish and Red Hot Chili Peppers slated to perform. Hollywood heavyweight Tom Cruise is rumoured to be performing an astounding stunt in homage to the next Games in Los Angeles.

Narratively, the Olympic Closing Ceremony unfolds the tale of "travellers from another space time" who stumble upon relics of Olympism and reassemble the Olympic rings during the spellbinding ceremony that spans over two hours.

As the pomp unfolded, fans swiftly took to social media to express their opinions on the ceremony's production . Comments emerged promptly, with one airing: "#Olympics #closingceremony audio seems off? ," and another noting: "The sound does sound weird. #closingceremony."

Yet another chimed in: "Someone is either killing this mix with a crazy delay or they are broadcasting the PA sound AND broadcast mix."

The Olympic Closing Ceremony will feature the traditional parade of athletes, a show of gratitude to volunteers, medal presentations, and the extinguishing of the Olympic flame. Thomas Bach, President of the IOC, will officially close the Games.

The event concludes with Anne Hidalgo and Karen Bass, mayors of Paris and Los Angeles respectively, participating in the handover of the Olympic flag.

The Opening Ceremony sparked debate due to its 'Last Supper' segment with drag queens . In defence, Thomas remarked: "How do you write a show in which everybody, at one point, feels represented and a part this bigger thing, this bigger 'us'? For an artist, it is a beautiful responsibility to have. It's ambitious but also complex because one has to broaden one's own imagery, one's own outlook and include everyone, understand everyone so that no one feels left behind."
