Man yells 'Free Palestine!' before stabbing Jewish man in Brooklyn

Vincent Sumpter, a 22-year-old accused of a stabbing attack on a Jewish individual this weekend, has been officially charged as reports emerged on Monday.

In the early hours of Saturday, Sumpter reportedly targeted a group of Jewish individuals on Kingston Avenue in Brooklyn , New York. Camera footage captured him stabbing 30-year-old Yechiel Michael Dabrowskin before he attempted to chase down the group and ultimately fled the scene.

The assaulted man was promptly rushed to the hospital for treatment thereafter. Community Chabbad spokesman Rabbi Yaakov Berman reported that during the confrontation, Sumpter questioned the group, "Do you want to die? " and also cried out, "Free Palestine," reports i24news.

Posting to his social media , Rabbi Berman said: "This is an extremely serious incident," and added, "The victim could have been killed. This act of hateful violence underscores the perilous consequences of anti-Semitic provocation and hostility spread by certain political figures and community leaders not just in New York but across the USA."
