Google down: Gmail, YouTube, Drive and more affected as users hit by major outage

A swarm of vexed users can't access emails , workspaces, or even make simple searches as Google experiences a major service disruption .

DownDetector.com witnessed a surge in reported problems around 9am EDT, with users mainly struggling with the search functionality and access to their Google Drives.

61 per cent of the disruptions are tied to search complications , while another 32 per cent grapple with website troubles, leaving about 7 per cent in strife over Google Drive dilemmas.

A displeased user named Montgomery aired their frustration on DownDetector, saying, "Google won't even load, can't get nothing to work.
