Piers Morgan has once again criticised Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as they prepare for a new adventure in South America, specifically Colombia, this summer. The invitation came from Vice President Francia Marquez.

The Sussexes' forthcoming journey, which includes stops in Bogota and Pacific regions such as Cartagena and Cali, has received mixed responses. Some commentators have labelled it a quasi-royal tour.

Morgan, the TV personality, was not impressed by their itinerary. In his newspaper column , Mr Morgan shared his confusion with a sharp critique. He recalled his "all-time favourite theatre review was about a play called: Why?."

He wrote that "the critic wrote one word: 'Exactly,', reports the Mirror . This was what he thought of when he heard that the Royal couple were planning a four-day tour of Colombia starting this Thursday.

Drawing a comparison between their Colombian plans and a review of a play titled 'Why?, where the reviewer sarcastically wrote 'Exactly,' Piers wrote for the Sun: "My all-time favourite theatre review was about a play called: Why? The critic wrote one word: 'Exactly.' I thought of this when I heard that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will embark on a four-day tour of Colombia this Thursday."

This memory reportedly came to Morgan's mind upon hearing about the couple's four-day Colombian trip starting Thursday. Expanding on his harsh critique, Morgan pointed out, "Meghan and Harry aren't real royals these days.

"They don't do any actual duties for the institution which conferred their titles on them - they just line their pockets with cash in America by constantly trashing their families, and the monarchy, in the media. So, what gives them the right to prance around the world pretending to be proper royals, on quasi-official visits?."

Morgan also unleashed a blistering attack on the Royal couple's "laughable hypocrisy" for travelling to "one of the world's most dangerous places", amid Prince Harry's dispute with the UK Government over his security arrangements while in Britain. Moreover, he underscored that the government of Colombia has been embroiled in scandals since assuming power.

Expressing his vexation, he declared: "But what I'm most annoyed about is the Sussexes' delusion that they can somehow operate as a rival royal family on the global stage, enjoying all the benefits from that regal status but without any need to fulfil their obligations to their King and country. They should be stopped."
