Tourists are divided on one of Ireland's most famous attractions

Tourists always seem to be divided about one particular attraction when visiting Ireland . Visitors from the US and around the world flock to cities like Dublin to experience unique culture , music, food, and drink.

For many, a go-to tourist destination in Dublin is Temple Bar. The historic cultural quarter of Dublin is full of pubs , restaurants, and gift shops. Tourists can often be spotted outside the famous Temple Bar Pub taking photos and enjoying a stroll through the area's cobbled streets.

However, not everyone is a huge fan . Many people have criticized the area for being a tourist trap. In fact, people often hit out at the prices of pints and other things here, which are much higher compared to other places in the city.

Located on the south banks of the River Liffey, Temple Bar is often the place you see on a postcard in Dublin. In Anglo-Norman Dublin, Temple Bar was a neighborhood located outside the city walls.

Famous pubs in the area include The Temple Bar, The Porterhouse, The Norseman, and the Ha'Penny Inn. Here, you will find Irish cuisine, music, and drinks.

The area is one that impresses many tourists. But others claim to see past its traps. Looking at reviews of the area online, you can see how mixed people's opinions really are.

Leaning towards a more positive view of the place, one Tripadvisor reviewer wrote: "Fun place went in the morning for an early lunch. The place was packed. They had a live band. Very entertaining."

Another said: "Great atmosphere here and lots of little pubs and shops to see. The graffiti is really good as well so that is something to keep an eye out for. We went to a sports bar in Temple Bar and had the BEST time watching football then had a live band. Really loved this place however the price of drinks is disgusting."

Meanwhile, a more critical reviewer wrote: "It's about time Dublin council/licensing got involved with the prices charged here, they are completely unjustified, rip off is the only way to describe this pub. €13 for a vodka coke and nearly €4 for a small soft drink. Tourists flock for the experience of Dublin but rarely return to the town centre as they are fleeced at every turn. Such a shame as its a great place to visit."

Another commented: "Crowds, crowds, crowds as well as expensive food and drinks. There is live music in several of the bars, which means more crowds. Bachelor and bachelorette groups, so more crowds."

A third said: "My opinion is take your picture outside then walk down the road and go to a bar that's not all about the hype and overpriced. Plenty of other better places to go."
