Tobias Menzies has addressed the speculation about his potential return for the concluding season of Outlander . Despite having a lasting impression as both Frank Randall and Black Jack Randall in the series, with the characters meeting their ends in prior seasons, Menzies confirmed that he won't be reappearing in the anticipated final season.

Menzies, known for his double-duty on Outlander and his later role in The Crown, made his last Outlander appearance as a memory of gentle Frank in season four. While fans cherish Menzies' portrayal of Frank and loathe his performance as the vile Black Jack Randall who terrorized Jamie Fraser, Menzies himself has indicated there are no plans for his comeback in the forthcoming eighth series.

As much as audiences would relish his return to cap off Outlander, Menzies divulged to TV Line: "What am I allowed to say? It would be great," reports the Express . "[But] no, you will not see me. They're going to bring it home magnificently, I'm sure."

Although the ultimate season remains some way off, projected to release in late 2025, viewers still have the continuation of season seven to look forward to, scheduled to premiere on Friday, November 22.

Executive producer Maril Davis has teased "Digital Spy" with a promise of an "even more exciting" latter half for Outlander season seven. She revealed: "The second half does not give you time to breathe."

"There are so many ups and down for everyone and so many life moments. I can't even put it into words the second half is going to be even crazier than the first."
