Chick-fil-A brings back fan favorite menu item and returns to southern roots

A fan favorite is returning to Chick-fil-A after more than ten years. The company announced today it is bringing back the beloved Banana pudding milkshake .

America's favorite chicken chain released a statement announcing the return of the milkshake which was an iconic feature of their menu almost 13 years ago. The banana pudding milkshake was introduced as a limited edition item , but was an instant hit. Over the years, fans have pleaded with them to bring it back.

In their statement, Chick-fil-A described the shake as “a seasonal treat Guests have been requesting since its initial debut in 2011.” The sweet and creamy ice-cream drink is made with real bananas, vanilla wafer cookie crumbles, and topped with whipped cream and a cherry - like all other Chick-fil-A milkshakes.

The milkshake will make its grand return accompanied by a new menu item, the Banana Frosted Coffee, which the chain described as a cold-brewed coffee, Icedream dessert, and banana and vanilla wafer cookie crumbles. They are also bringing back the honey pepper pimento chicken sandwich, which debuted last fall and was a huge hit.

Banana pudding is a classic southern dessert, which brings Chick-fil-A back to its Georgia roots. The chain was founded there in 1946, and still draws on southern values in its branding.
