The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have touched down in Bogota , Colombia for their most extensive tour yet - a trip which they have been sternly warned about .

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are set to visit three Colombian cities over a four-day trip. The Royal couple will start their journey in Bogota before moving on to Cali and Cartagena. Meghan was the epitome of elegance in a navy blue ensemble.

The former Suits actress flaunted her toned arms in a peplum waistcoat that accentuated her slim waist. She paired this with fitted trousers.

She was seen walking hand-in-hand with Prince Harry, who looked suave in a navy suit - their coordinated outfits clearly signaling their unity as a power couple on this trip.

At around 9am local time in Bogota, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex received a warm welcome from Vice President Francia Marquez and her partner, Rafael Yerney Pinillo. They then proceeded to the Vice President's residence for coffee, tea, and traditional pan de bono (Colombian Cheese Bread), followed by an exchange of welcome gifts.

The Duke and Duchess spent half an hour at the residence, during which the Vice President expressed her appreciation for the couple's official visit. The VP conveyed that she believes she shares common ideals and objectives with the Sussexes, particularly in advocating for a safer digital future and improved mental health landscape for our children and the world.

The Sussexes have been forging connections with Colombia, being notably the only Latin American nation to join in the Invictus Games, an initiative spearheaded by Prince Harry. The couple's journey to Colombia comes ahead of the first Global Ministerial Conference on Ending Violence Against Children that Colombia will host in November.

Harry and Meghan have planned a four-day stay which includes visiting San Basilio de Palenque, recognized as the first official 'free town' for Africans in the Americas. Moreover, the Sussex duo is set to experience the vibrant Petronio Alvarez Festival, a renowned music event in Cali.

Alejandro Eder, the city mayor, offered a preview of Harry and Meghan's travel plans at a tourism summit earlier in the month, revealing: "They are going to come to Cali and spend a day in the city. They're going to visit the Petronio Alvarez Festival in the city and they're also going to visit other social initiatives."
