UFC judge Howie Booth was pulled from his duties at UFC 305 after submitting a controversial scorecard earlier in the evening. Booth, who was one of the judges for the heavyweight clash between Tai Tuivasa and Jairzinho Rozenstruik, shockingly awarded all three rounds to the local fighter Tuivasa , despite Rozenstruik clearly deserving the victory.

His fellow judges agreed, giving Rozenstruik the win. Booth was scheduled to judge another fight that night but was replaced by Ben Cartlidge due to the incident.

Rozenstruik's dominance over Tuivasa, who now faces his fifth straight loss in the UFC, was acknowledged by other fighters. Michael Chandler praised the bout, saying: "This is what a heavyweight fight is supposed to look like. Dudes are keeping a pace.!" Henry Cejudo also commended Rozenstruik, remarking: "Possibly performance of the night by Rozenstruik! He looked sharp tonight."

However, it was Booth's judging that sparked outrage, with fans blasting his decision on social media. One fan exclaimed: "Howie Booth should NEVER ref a fight again," while another commented: "Howie Booth with the worst scorecard of all time," reports the Mirror .

A third added: "Howie Booth needs to be investigated and never let inside another UFC event A 30-27 is without a doubt, one of the, if not THE worst scorecards of all time."

Ironically, Booth wasn't needed in the penultimate fight of the night as Kai Kara-France delivered a knockout performance against Steve Erceg in the first round, setting himself up for a potential flyweight title shot. Also on the main card, Dan Hooker clinched a popular split-decision victory over Mateusz Gamrot in an electrifying lightweight bout.

Hooker later challenged Conor McGregor , who is awaiting a date for his rescheduled match with Chandler.

In the headline event, Dricus Du Plessis retained his middleweight title by choking out Israel Adesanya. Adesanya seemed to have taken control of the fight with a strong third round, but the champion bounced back in the penultimate session, hurting his challenger with a left hook before a series of blows led to a takedown and the fight-ending rear-naked choke.
