Raheem Sterling is seeking clarification on his Chelse a future after being omitted from the squad set to clash with Manchester City. Despite recent rumors about his future, the 29-year-old has been active in Chelsea's pre-season tour in the US.

Last term, Sterling added eight goals and served up four assists i n 31 Premier League outings. A statement from Sterling's representatives says: "Raheem Sterling is contracted to Chelsea Football Club for the next three years."

It continues: "He returned to England two weeks early to conduct individual training, and has had a positive pre-season under the new coach, who he has developed a good working relationship with."
