They seemed destined to be the next big thing in Tinseltown, but it looks like Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan's love story has come to an end, as per recent buzz.

The duo had been spotted together at various high-profile events, including the Met Gala, sparking rumors about their growing intimacy. Yet, the unconfirmed word on the street is that the actress has ended things, tired of "his drunken partying" .

With the break up making headlines, a top PR guru has given us the exclusive scoop on how the stars should handle the situation to prevent it from "snowballing out of control" .

Jane Owen, the boss lady at JOPR, dished out her advice to us: "If I was their Publicist I would be advising them to make sure the split is as amicable as possible. Bad-mouthing each other, regardless of who is right or wrong is not a good look. It can also easily escalate and snowball out of control. The best case scenario for both of them is to say 'it was lovely but it wasn't meant to be' and say 'I wish them well and hope we can be friends in the future' regardless of the truth of the situation."

Jane stressed the importance of "taking the higher ground" during the split, suggesting it's the key to coming out smelling like roses.

"They both enjoyed a lot more press attention from being together," she continued. "I would suggest they try to turn that into bigger more impactful articles about their careers in general, turn the focus to their projects and other part of their lives that they want more attention on, maybe it's charity or a new career endeavor - whatever it is, they can use this time to get the press to write about that."

Jane added that any publicity can lead to more press attention and said it's up to the pair's team to "know how and when to maneuver attention," claiming they must "strike whilst the iron is hot".

Sabrina and Barry's links started in a flurry of rumors before their iconic red carpet official moment. Once they went public, the couple showed they weren't afraid to flaunt it.

Barry was on hand front row and center for Sabrina's electrifying Coachella performance and was spotted blushing over a simple wave from his girlfriend.

However, an insider recently told the Sun there was trouble in paradise, saying: "He [Barry] has always been a party animal and Sabrina was fed up with his antics. She is soaring in the charts and is putting herself first as she gears up for her tour next month."
