YouTube sensation Jake Paul has issued a challenge to boxing titan Mike Tyson to change the rules of their upcoming fight .

Social media star Jake Paul and iconic pugilist Mike Tyson were geared up to throw hands in Texas the previous month.

However, Tyson had to call off his participation two months prior due to an ulcer relapse. The fight was rescheduled for November, with Paul sealing victory over stand-in Perry, the bare-knuckle bruiser - after initially prepping for Tyson.

Mike Tyson has declared himself fit following his setback, readying to step back into the ring for the first time since his uneventful standoff with Roy Jones Jr back in 2020. His clash with Paul is slated to be official, factoring into both fighters' professional tallies.

But, they're set to scrap over eight two-minute rounds instead of the customary three-minute skirmishes.

Sparring verbally at a New York press event last Sunday, Jake Paul tossed the suggestion of modified round lengths to Tyson. Tyson warned: "Be in shape, be in good shape because your health depends on it" triggering Paul's comeback: "You're the one who wanted right two-minute rounds, want to make it 10x3? Don't talk to me about shape, you want 10x3?"

Without an immediate comeback from Tyson, Paul went on: "That's the thing, everyone's all talk, I'll do whenever, wherever, it's all talk. I'm stating facts."

Eventually, Tyson served up a succinct but loaded retort: "Be careful... he should be very careful."

Paul boldly declared his intentions to knock out Tyson later this year, saying: "People are always going to have something to say, it's because I've proved everyone wrong. I'm here to make history, I'm here for a challenge and I'm here to fight one of the most dangerous men in boxing."

"He's vicious, he's a killer, he has one-punch KO power, he is the greatest heavyweight of all time but I will prove all of the haters wrong, that's what I've always done. I'm not scared. I was born for this moment, the universe told me this was going to happen. I'm going to put on the performance of a lifetime."
