Bad Sisters return date confirmed and fans are buzzing for show's long-awaited season 2

The return date for Bad Sisters has finally been announced and fans don't have long to wait for the second season of the hit Irish show . Bad Sisters was created by Sharon Horgan , who also stars in the series alongside Eve Hewson and Daryl McCormack.

The first season of the show premiered on Apple TV+ in 2022 and has become a massive hit, receiving Emmy nominations and blowing audiences away with its humor and twist-and-turn storylines. The second season of the show will consist of eight episodes and will premiere on Wednesday, November 13.

Fiona Shaw , Owen McDonnell, Thaddea Graham, Barry Ward, and Peter Claffey will join the cast for the second season. The series' second season will have a double-episode premiere with the first two installments becoming available to stream on November 13.

"Bad Sisters, season two returns to follow the lives of the Garvey sisters played by Sharon Horgan as Eva, Anne-Marie Duff as Grace, Eva Birthistle as Ursula, Sarah Greene as Bibi, and Eve Hewson as Becka.," said Apple TV+ in a statement.

"Two years after the 'accidental death' of Grace's abusive husband, the close-knit Garvey sisters may have moved on, but when past truths resurface, the ladies are thrust back into the spotlight, suspicions are at an all-time high, lies are told, secrets revealed, and the sisters are forced to work out who they can trust."

Creator Horgan teased the second season of the show earlier this year, giving fans a taste of what they might expect when it lands on streaming. Horgan, who created and also stars in the show, spoke to Extra.ie on the red carpet of the IFTAs in Ireland last night and gave an update on the highly-anticipated second season of the drama.

She revealed: "It’s actually really, really hard to talk about because I’ll give the game away. There’s a very specific kind of hook. I said earlier, you can’t just kill a man and then expect your life to continue on as usual.

"So there is fallout from that and there’s just more sisters." Horgan was nominated for Lead Actress in a Drama Series while Dearbhla Walsh was nominated for Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series. The show made many viewers fall in love with the scenic settings in and around Dublin .

Some of the recognizable locations in Bad Sisters include Dollymount Strand and Howth Head in north Dublin.
