    DNC struck by bomb threats as police investigate pipe bombs reported at hotels

    On Tuesday, a security alert was raised at the Democratic National Convention in downtown Chicago due to multiple bomb threats. Several hotels near the convention were targeted with these threats, leading to police investigations.

    According to Fox 32, the threats suggested that pipe bombs had been planted at the Hotel Chicago West Loop, the Hyatt House Chicago and in the University District.

    The outlet also reported that the threats mentioned the DNC event taking place for four days on the city's Near West Side and included "anti-semitic statements."

    Officers were also dispatched to check the Nobu Hotel following these threats, reports the Mirror US .
