Meghan Markle channelled an unexpected Royal influence during her speech in Colombia , where she and Prince Harry were on a four-day visit by invitation of Vice President Francia Marquez. The couple engaged in various activities , including honouring Afro-Colombian female leaders and entrepreneurs.
While speaking at a forum, Meghan touched on the topic of women's empowerment and made a rare mention of her daughter, Princess Lilibet. She shared insights into her daughter's developing character , stating: "I know how it feels when you don't utilise your voice when you need to be heard or have something to say. I encourage our daughter to do so who at three has absolutely found her voice, and we are so proud of that."
Body language expert Darren Stanton observed that Meghan's panel participation was one of her most "honest and open" moments in recent times, suggesting she may have drawn inspiration from her stepmother-in-law Queen Camilla for the event.
Speaking on behalf of Betfair Roulette, he stated: "When we saw Meghan speaking on the panel, she came across as calm and collected, while being completely authentic. It's probably been the most honest and open display we've seen from Meghan for a long time. All the way through, she's congruent with her body language and facial expressions. We've been exposed to a very confident side to Meghan, as she displayed no signs of hesitation or feeling tension.
"Meghan feels at home on this stage. She's speaking so openly. When we analyse her tone of voice, it's steady, consistent and low. It doesn't change too much, telling us she's comfortable and at ease. She was also wearing white and could be taking inspiration from Queen Camilla, who often opts for white during engagements. The colour white attracts positive energy and calmness but also makes a statement. Meghan has proved she feels self-assured, competent and able to assert herself," reports the Mirror .
Both Camilla and Meghan have championed causes that support women - even during their tenure as working members of the Royal Family. So, it wasn't surprising that when Meghan first joined the Firm, she seemed to get along well with the now Queen.
However, despite their initial bond, it seems that things may have soured between the two women - and one significant flashpoint occurred when Meghan allegedly broke a pledge, which is said to have left Camilla very upset.
The controversy dates back four years, it surfaced when the Mirror reported Megan's insistence that photos of her at a theatre were released on the same day as the then Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla gave an influential talk. She was addressing the 10th anniversary of the Women of the World Festival in London, an event almost a year in the making.
It was alleged Meghan had vowed not to eclipse Camilla's crucial fight against abuse - however, images of her at the National Theatre surfaced right on the same day as Camilla's milestone speech, causing uproar. Royal aides kept mum about the dispute; nevertheless, one source closely connected at the time remarked: "Camilla's work is very important to her and her decision to highlight the scourge of domestic violence at the 10th anniversary of Women of the World was a carefully thought-out plan.
"Over the last four years, she has worked tirelessly, mostly behind the scenes but to great effect, to use her platform and personal experiences to highlight the issue and help sufferers.

"It was understood Harry and Meghan would have engagements this week, some covert, yet there was mutual consensus that Camilla's address should be forefront. Regrettably, it seems other plans were afoot."
This act set off astonishment and indignation amongst Palace insiders, who disclosed Meghan had "refused to listen" to the counsel of aides.
