Dustin Johnson, a star of LIV Golf, seems to have his retirement plans already in place , looking beyond his playing days on the breakaway circuit. Johnson, one of the big names to depart the PGA Tour for the LIV setup , inked a deal worth roughly $125 million with Greg Norman and his team.

Throughout the first season, the two-time major champion was a dominant force, starting with his initial LIV victory in Boston .

The 40-year-old went on to become the first individual champion of the Saudi-backed series, later completing a dominant double by winning the inaugural Team Championship with the 4Aces.

Despite not being able to repeat this success, Johnson has won two more LIV titles in the past two seasons, triumphing in Tulsa last May and Las Vegas earlier this season. There's no question that Johnson, one of his generation's greatest players, still has many years left at the top level of golf.

However, according to 4Aces General Manager Chris Rosaasen, Johnson is keeping an eye on retirement. Rosaasen disclosed that Johnson will continue to be part of the LIV franchise long after he hangs up his clubs.

"DJ is a captain and owner of the team so his name will theoretically be associated with this for all time," Rosaasen shared with Bunkered. "But he wouldn't argue this. I don't think he's going to be playing 15 years from now."

His eventual departure will naturally usher in a new generation of players for both the LIV league and the 4Aces.

The former manager of the PGA Tour has disclosed plans to establish a 'minor league' model to nurture the upcoming generation. "He and I have sat down and said 'How are we going to build the foundations for what this team is? ' It's even to scout kids who might be able to be on this team 5-10 years from now," he further explained.

"We're building the budget for next year to start outfitting these guys so it's almost like the minor leagues for 4Aces. So we contact these guys who we think might be good and it's like 'Hey why don't we sponsor you now? ' Wear the 4aces kit in all your other competitions and we're starting to start you guys early."

"Even down to high school. It's crazy how young these guys are turning pro these days. You've got to start looking early, for sure. This has all started happening in the last couple months that we've started thinking that way."
