    Hidden gem Irish town in underrated county is a must for tourists to visit

    While tourists love places like Dublin , Cork, and Galway, there are many underrated towns and cities that they don't tend to visit . In one of Ireland's most underrated counties , there is a town that visitors will fall in love with .

    Adare is located in Co Limerick in the west of Ireland . Home to one of Ireland's few major cities , Limerick has some great attractions for tourists to visit.

    However, you don't necessarily have to stay in the city. There are some lovely towns in Limerick and the nicest one may well be the town of Adare.

    Adare is often considered one of Ireland's prettiest towns. With old-timey buildings and lovely surrounding green landscapes, it is truly picturesque.

    For tourists looking to do their Ireland trip in style, Adare is full of luxury accommodation options. Most notable is Adare Manor, which has consistently been named as one of the best stays in all of Europe .

    However, there are also some lovely B&Bs in and around the town which guests have praised since staying. Additionally, the town is home to luxury boutiques and craft shops where you will find some stunning gems.

    Meanwhile, there are a number of award-winning restaurants in Adare. Standouts include The Arches Restaurant, Blue Door Restaurant, and Timmy Macs Bistro.

    Adare is also known for its stunning golf course. In fact, it will host the 2027 Ryder Cup.

    But there is plenty to do in Adare, even if golf isn't your thing. Among the many tourist activities in the area are archery, falconry, fishing, a horse-drawn tour of the manor, tours of Adare Castle, the Limerick Greenway, the Knockfierna Fairy Hill, Adare Village Park, and Clonshire Equestrian Centre.

    One of Adare's most popular attractions is Desmond Castle, which tourists have praised after visiting. One Tripadvisor reviewer said: "A genuinely unique tour and so glad we took it, A breath of fresh air."

    Another said: "While this small castle will not blow anyone away in elegance or size, these ruins are truly impressive, especially with its unique history. For only 6 Euro, you can get a private tour."
