Prince Harry gave up smoking just before moving in with Meghan Markle as the couple were eager to start a family , reports have suggested. An insider previously told the Daily Mail: "Harry has promised no smoking at all at home."

The insider added: "It's not nice for Meghan as a non-smoker. So there's no more hanging out of the window for a quick puff. Harry has quit for Meghan." Not only did Harry make lifestyle changes, but Meghan also embarked on learning the ropes of Royal life , including the protocols of meeting international dignitaries and perfecting her curtsy.

Meghan's aversion to smoking isn't surprising, considering her interests in yoga and running, reports the Express US . Similarly, Queen Camilla was encouraged to give up smoking by King Charles . While Charles dabbled briefly with smoking during his school years, it wasn't a lasting vice.

In the past, several royals faced health issues related to smoking, including King George VI, who died from lung cancer, and George V, Edward VII, and Edward VIII, who all dealt with smoking-related illnesses.

Times have certainly changed; Harry and Meghan now reside in the US with their two children, Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, three. The Sussexes recently spent four days in Colombia focusing on the impacts of online bullying on kids.

The Sussexes' trip to Colombia, which racked up a $2 million security bill, has been criticized for looking more like a holiday, despite the released photos suggesting they enjoyed their visit.
