Outlander aficionados are in for a tough wait as the second half of season seven looms on the horizon . In the meantime, many fans are swapping recommendations of other series to ease the longing.

The hit show stars Caitriona Balfe as Claire Randall and Sam Heughan as Jamie Fraser, immersing its audience in a stirring story of time travel, historic events, and romance. It's based on the novels by Diana Gabaldon and revolves around a WWII nurse from Scotland who inexplicably finds herself in the year 1743.

Caught up in the throes of the Jacobite risings, she encounters danger and desire as she falls for an alluring Scottish fighter. With more than ten years under its belt, the series has won the hearts of viewers worldwide thanks to its dynamic mix of bold escapades and enduring love.

On Reddit, one fan with the username Cute-Competition4507 reached out for some community solidarity in a thread named 'How do I move on from Outlander?'

Expressing their emotions, the fan wrote: "I just need to get this off my chest. I already knew this show would ruin me ever since I started season 3. I told myself I would stop after season 3 because I know it'll hurt me to finish it because it's so good [crying emoji]."

The same fan continued: "Now I already finished season 7. I don't know what's with Outlander, I just started it because it was suggested after watching Bridgerton and Downton Abbey, but I wasn't this attached to those shows."

One fan shared their struggle: "I tried watching other shows but I kept on coming back to Outlander. I can't even look at posts relating to Outlander because it hurts (haha). I try to avoid it all. I want to read the books but I might get attached to it too. Good luck to me until November."

An understanding fan sympathized with their plight: "I understand EXACTLY how you feel. I felt the same and honestly, you just have to let the time pass and let it feel less intense, I don't think there is another way around it.

"I couldn't watch any TV series or movies for a month or two after and couldn't really read anything after finishing the books (this lasted less because I looove reading). Just wait it out, I didn't find another solution to it."

Fellow fans chimed in with recommendations for new shows to fill the void. One suggested: "You might enjoy the show Poldark,", which was echoed by others with comments like "Poldark is wonderful!"

Another fan shared: "Poldark is way more realistic in terms of a long-lasting love/romance. I'm old and while know if many long-lasting loves including my own the passion isn't there 24 hours a day 7 days a week as portrayed in Outlander. It pops up now and again."

The chat wrapped up with accolades for Poldark, as one fan noted, "Poldark shows all the complexities of love other your first romantic love and one that grows on you."

A fellow viewer shared their sentiments: "I can say that I feel you. But it's a good problem to have. Doing a rewatch now and the good parts are awesome, but the bad parts, well, I'm struggling."

For those in search of a more daring watch, praise was also given to Black Sails by STARZ, hailed as "really good. Four seasons and it's the extremely tight beginning to end."

A kind-hearted fan, xMontanaGirlx, offered up a list of 17 series they've relished akin to Outlander, stating: "That's how I feel. I just re-watch them later on in the future. Here are some shows I've watched more than twice."
