College football is nearing kick off for the 2024 season , with Week 1 just around the corner. Fans can settle in to watch games every day from Thursday until Monday beginning next week, and the odds are already interesting .

The Georgia team faces Dabo Swinney's No. 14 Clemson squad at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, while No. 20 Texas A&M plays host to No. 7 Notre Dame. So, The Fighting Irish look hopeful .

Taking to the field, too, is No. 8 Penn State vs. West Virginia and No. 19 Miami vs. Florida . Lower-tier opponents are sure to entertain as well. Here are the odds for most of the top games of Week 1, as per SportsLine .

No. 7 Notre Dame at No. 20 Texas A&M (-3) : Texas are the favorites in the first game of the season but Notre Dame are sure to put up a fight despite suffering a huge blow earlier this month when officials confirmed that left tackle Charles Jagusah tore the pectoral muscle in his right shoulder and will miss the entire 2024 season a result.

No. 14 Clemson vs. No. 1 Georgia (-13.5) in Atlanta : The two programs come into Week 1 from both ends of the spectrum - George reigning supreme and Clemson trying to get to the top. It's an important game for both .

No. 19 Miami (-2.5) at Florida : Miami are tipped for big success this season while Florida enter the season off the back of a five-game loss. Miami's game against Georgia Tech, where they struggled with bad game management , might come back to haunt them. Either way, it is sure to be a fascinating and thrilling spectacle.

No. 13 LSU (-4.5) vs. No. 23 USC : This game is a perfect Week 1 matchup. Both programs have eased off on previous successes as of late because of poor defense. The match is in Las Vegas , and in terms of the winner, all bets are off.

No. 8 Penn State (-8.5) at West Virginia : West Virginia lost 38-15 in last season's match despite the game being close . A fast-paced game is on the cards. The teams have two of the best running back rooms in college football.
