PS Plus September 2024 free PS4 and PS5 games: Early look at what's coming to PlayStation Plus

Sony is all set to officially announce the PlayStation Plus Essentials line-up for September 2024 , with the reveal of the free PS4 and PS5 games scheduled for August 28.

However, subscribers will have to wait until September 3 for the games to actually join the service. Interestingly, Sony has already unveiled one of the games joining PS Plus in September.

Indeed, the first game coming to PS Plus in September is a brand new release from the Harry Potter universe. Harry Potter Quidditch Champions will be available to PS Plus Essential subscribers from September 3 until October 1.

Playable solo or with friends via online multiplayer, Quidditch Champions allows fans to play in various positions, including Chaser, Seeker, Keeper and Beater, according to the Express. The development team claims that the game features a selection of legendary Quidditch arenas, as well as "maps that showcase never-before-seen areas of the wizarding world".

As for the other two PS Plus Essentials, fans have been speculating about the games in the monthly predictions thread on Reddit. The favourite to join PS Plus is third-person action game Atomic Heart, which is leaving Xbox Game Pass at the end of August, reports the Mirror US .

There's a buzz that Atomic Heart might be heading to PlayStation Plus in September. Despite its initial lukewarm reception, the game has since gained a cult following and now boasts a 'Very Positive' rating on Steam.

While there are some gameplay concerns, fans have praised its steampunk world, abilities, and enemy design. Gris, a critically acclaimed 2D adventure game known for its emotional depth, is another title with multiple predictions.

The prediction list also includes games like Sonic Frontiers, Dead Space, WWE 2K24, Forspoken, and Suicide Squad. Viewfinder, a first-person puzzle game lauded for its innovative gameplay, is another frequently mentioned title.

In addition to these, Like a Dragon Ishin, Far Cry 6, Resident Evil Village, various LEGO games, Little Nightmares 2, and Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 are also expected to make an appearance.
