Beautiful Irish cliff walk near Dublin is 'breathtaking' and largely undiscovered by tourists

A scenic cliff walk just outside Dublin is largely undiscovered by tourists . The big city often overshadows some of the great things there are to do around the east coast of Ireland .

Granted, Dublin has some worthy attractions such as The Guinness Storehouse , Kilmainham Gaol, and the traditional pubs of Temple Bar . However, sometimes it is worth traveling outside the city for a number of experiences.

One of those is the Bray Head Cliff Walk. Located in Co Wicklow , it is easily reached by Dublin City Centre by taking the DART train.

Here, you will find stunning unspoiled views, fresh sea air, and friendly locals. Recently, Bray was named by Time Out as one of the most underrated travel destinations in the world .

The town is home to a stunning promenade, great restaurants, and stellar pubs, as well as family-friendly attractions such as the top-rated aquarium. However, the cliff wall is perhaps the highlight.

For those who have ventured outside of Dublin to visit Bray and complete the cliff walk, it was worth the travel. One Tripadvisor reviewer wrote: "The hike up to the cross is quite steep, but it definitely is worth the sweat. Behind the cross the path continues in lovely landskapes that look quite similar to alpine pastures."

Another wrote: "Loved it! Wasn’t strenuous at all and the scenery was breathtaking!!! Bray is very beautiful and the people there were very nice too!"

A third commented: "Wonderful way to spend an afternoon. Great seanery and Seaviews. A hidden gem to a certain extent. A pint or a bag of chips at the end of it."

A fourth wrote: "It’s a lovely place for a family day out, surrounded by good restaurants and pubs. One of the best visitors attractions easily accessible by dart and bus."
