Jon Rahm has forcefully denied claims that he is regretting his move to the Saudi Arabia-funded LIV Golf league amid rumors he wishes to return to the PGA Tour .

The former Masters and US Open champion, amongst the most high-profile players to join the new Saudi circuit this offseason, has yet to match his peak form from 2023.

Contrary to reports that he is unhappy in LIV Golf , Rahm boldly stated to the New York Post: "There's zero validity to what any of that said," dismissing suggestions that some players are dissatisfied with their switch.

"I don't know where it came from. I don't know why they feel the need to say that some of us are unhappy when we're not. It's one of the things that frustrates me a little bit, the fact that they can claim that there's a source and there's zero truth to it."

Speculation about Rahm's discontent seems to have arisen from a comprehensive article in Golf Digest+ magazine profiling his transition to LIV Golf. The piece references comments by a "veteran tour insider" expressing strong belief in Rahm's desire to revert to the PGA Tour without delay.

The article highlights questions over Rahm's commitment to creating a lasting legacy in golf, an image he cultivated among fans during his time at the PGA Tour through his evident love for the game.

Hailing proudly from the Basque region, Jon Rahm made his move to the US in 2012, joining Arizona State. During his time there, he bagged an impressive 11 collegiate wins across four years and secured his place in history as the two-time Ben Hogan Award recipient - an accolade awarded to the best NCAA golfer.

Bursting into the pro scene after his senior year, Rahm made his debut at the 2016 Quicken Loans National, clinching his first PGA Tour victory in San Diego the next year.

Fast forward to 2023, Rahm was making waves in the world of golf, securing a legendary win by beating Brooks Koepka by four strokes in Augusta, grabbing his second major tournament win. Although falling just short at the British Open that same year, he solidified his position at the top of world golf for a whopping 52 weeks as No. 1.

As many fellow golfers shifted to LIV Golf, Rahm stood firm with the PGA Tour.

"I am officially declaring my fealty to the PGA Tour. I'm a PAC member, and I have a lot of belief in Jay Monahan and the product that they're going to give us in the future," Rahm declared boldly in 2023.

"There has been a lot of talk and speculation about the Saudi League. It's just not something I believe is the best for me and my future in golf, and I think the best legacy I can accomplish will be with the PGA Tour."

In June 2023, a game-changing announcement by PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan, detailing a "framework" for a merger with LIV Golf, altered Rahm's outlook. With expectations of the two leagues uniting soon - a provisional date of December 2023 was set - Rahm chose a profitable switch to Saudi Arabia, candidly acknowledging the monetary advantages and the appeal of team management.
