Queen's 'brutal three-word comment' after Meghan Markle gave birth to Archie

When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle , the Duchess of Sussex, welcomed their first child, Prince Archie, royal enthusiasts were eager to catch a glimpse of the newest addition to the Royal Family . However, the couple had their own plans for their son's birth , making Archie's public debut slightly different from the usual royal birth.

Kate Middleton had followed the tradition of other royal mothers by participating in a photocall outside the hospital with all three of her newborns. However, there was some confusion surrounding Archie's birth.

An initial statement from Buckingham Palace announced that Meghan had gone into labour that morning , but another announcement quickly followed, revealing that she had already given birth to a baby boy. Archie was first photographed a few days later at Windsor Castle, and some adorable photos of the late Queen and Prince Philip with him were released.

However, a royal expert has since suggested that despite the late Queen Elizabeth's apparent delight at meeting Archie, she later made a three-word comment in an official address which he believed hinted at underlying issues within the House of Windsor.

Robert Lacey - a Royal author and historian - made this claim while writing for the Daily Mail, even comparing a Royal Family tradition to Soviet Russia.

He pointed out that in the Queen's annual Christmas message following Archie's birth, the former monarch only briefly mentioned the newest member of the Sussex family, without using his name, reports the Mirror .

"Who does and who does not feature on the royal Christmas desk has always been like the changing panorama of faces on the historic balcony of Moscow's Kremlin. It showed who was in favour and who was not," the historian penned. "In 2018, Harry and Meghan had featured smiling in a silver frame. But there would be no sign of them in 2019, nor any mention of the name Sussex."

Lacey further noted, "The Queen simply acknowledged the arrival of her great-grandchild in passing, without mentioning his name or his parents: 'Prince Philip and I have been delighted to welcome our eighth great-grandchild into our family.' This was the Queen's only reference to the new arrival and his parents in her 2019 address to the world - an anonymous 'eighth great-grandchild'."

"The Sussex family had been 'non-personed' as effectively as the Soviets non-personed Trotsky and Khrushchev - another charming custom, of course, that had been developed by the Kremlin."

A snippet, however, featuring the Queen greeting Archie and his maternal grandmother Doria Ragland was shown during the address, the expert also pointed out.
