Despite attending a ceremony together earlier this week , the chilly relationship between Prince Harry and Prince William seems unthawed.

The clergyman who presided over the funeral reception for Lord Robert Fellowes, their mother's brother-in-law and Princess Diana's sibling, admitted to not noticing any conversation between the estranged royal siblings . The Reverend Tansey, speaking to The Sun , remarked: "It was only as I was greeting the congregation on the way out that Prince William was shaking my hand, and then very quickly after Prince Harry did too."

He added, "It was a surprise but a really really pleasant surprise that they had both come."

Nonetheless, he observed the apparent frostiness at the gathering afterwards , saying: "I don't recollect them speaking to each other but there were a lot of family members and friends speaking to them."

The estranged brothers were seen together for the first time since May 2023 at Lord Robert Fellowes funeral in Norfolk. Harry made a sudden trip from the US to join William , despite previous security worries, reports the Express .

Reverend Tansey commented on their attendance: "It was a lovely service and there were a lot of people who wanted to be there for someone who was really well-respected in the village."

He also observed: "It wasn't a tremendous shock William was there, as that was always a possibility but I suppose it was more of a surprise that Harry had come."

The reverend added: "On the way out, they both said thank you for the service and I thanked them for coming."

With a distinguished military career behind him, Lord Fellowes was not only renowned for his marriage to Lady Jane Spencer, elder sister of Princess Diana, but also for his tenure as a press secretary for Queen Elizabeth II that spanned 13 years. Lord Fellowes' death came on July 29 at the age of 82 under unspecified circumstances.

Prince Harry, who is set to turn 40 next month, has had minimal contact with his brother since he chose to step down as a senior working Royal in 2020. The release of Harry's memoir 'Spare' last year and a string of high-profile interviews, which made further allegations against the Royal Family, have only deepened the divide.
