Netflix enthusiasts are left feeling queasy over a series that's causing quite a stir, with some even finding it too difficult to watch .

A member of the Netflix Bangers Facebook group recommended Parasyte: The Grey, even throwing in a flame emoji to express their approval. Fellow viewers weighed in with one calling it a "brilliant show" and another praising it as "amazing".

One fan described it as "Sick as, creepy as and plain weird but good lol," while another admitted: "It's exciting...I loved it," and yet another viewer labeled the series "disgusting".

Comments continued to pour in with one saying: "This one is the best," and another noting: "Parasyte is a great Korean show...I finished the entire season in a day [laughing face]."

Another chimed in with: "Yes. I watched it, it was good. The ending was a bit sad."

Some viewers suggested that those who enjoyed the Netflix offering should "try the anime" and "give the series a go," with many expressing love for the live-action adaptation. "My favourite," declared one fan, while another recommended: "It is really good. Recommend watching," and a third praised it as a "Superb series."

The official Netflix synopsis states: "When unidentified parasites violently take over human hosts and gain power, humanity must rise to combat the growing threat."

Parasyte: The Grey , a live-action spin-off of the manga series Parasyte by Japanese artist Hitoshi Iwaaki, was released in 2024. The plot revolves around peculiar parasitic creatures from space that take over host bodies and morph their heads.

In response to these odd beings, a police squad named The Grey is established to safeguard humanity, while also striving to keep news of the parasites away from the media and internet. The series, which debuted in April 2024, garnered positive reviews and earned a rating of 7.5/10 on Rotten Tomatoes.

Following its release on Netflix, Parasyte: The Grey topped the Global Top 10 TV (Non-English) category for three consecutive days. It amassed an impressive 6.3 million viewers who clocked up a staggering 31.5 million hours of streaming within the first week.
