Footage shows chilling moment rapper Fatman Scoop collapses and dies on stage

A horrifying incident occurred at a Connecticut concert when renowned rapper Fatman Scoop suddenly collapsed on stage, before he was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital .

The 53-year-old rapper, famous for his hit Be Faithful, among others, was attempting to ascend a platform during his performance in Hamden on Friday night when he visibly struggled and then disappeared from view, causing the audience to panic.

As cries of alarm filled the venue, people rushed to his aid, frantically trying to revive him .

Sadly, it was reported on Saturday morning that Fatman Scoop passed away on Friday night following the incident. The precise cause of death has not yet been disclosed.

Hamden Mayor Lauren Garett confirmed that Fatman Scoop, whose real name is Isaac Freeman III, was taken to a hospital by ambulance.

Emergency services arrived at the scene around 8.33pm, swiftly placing him on a stretcher and transporting him for medical treatment.
