Ed Sheeran's cousin Jethro Sheeran, who performs under the name Alonestar, has been left seething after receiving a stern legal caution from the pop star's record company .

Alonestar has come under fire for promoting a song he recorded with Ed titled 'Raise Em Up,' which they originally laid down in 2010. At 42, Jethro plans to drop twenty-one fresh remixes of the tune on his Spotify account.

However, Ed's label heavyweights at Warner Music, the giant representing names like Ed, Charli XCX, Coldplay, and Megan Thee Stallion reportedly sent strict legal missives to the Bristol artist.

They've allegedly demanded he scrub Ed's likeness and name from his promotional artwork . Jethro is said to have followed suit, sidestepping a court scuffle with those managing his renowned cousin's business, even though the contested image is still on his official Instagram .

Jethro recently voices his annoyance to The Sun and revealed that his own solicitors were taken aback by the stipulations . He said: "I was super disappointed in him. Even my lawyers were shocked how he could do this to family. But it's OK, I'm doing great, working on my new album. I wish him the best, just far away from me ."

Jethro, an ex-fashion model once signed with elite agencies like Storm and Nevs, has posed for big names like Prada and Calvin Klein. In the music world, he's collaborated with his cousin on Ed's own tunes, including hits like You Need Me, I Don't Need You, Move On and Pause.
