Prince Harry and Meghan Markle shocked the world over four years ago when they announced their decision to step down from their Royal duties. They swiftly relocated from the UK to California , where they've been attempting to establish new careers amidst ongoing disputes with their Royal family members, including King Charles and Prince William.

However, recent reports suggest that Harry is growing weary of his American lifestyle and is eager to spend more time in the UK , possibly mending the rift with his father and potentially being welcomed back into the Royal family.

The Mail On Sunday reports that the Duke of Sussex has reached out to aides from his previous Royal life and old friends in an effort to reintegrate into UK circles . There have been several indications that Harry may be ready to move forward from the past and reconnect with his life back in the UK.

    Seeking advice.

Harry appears to be keen on reconnecting by reportedly seeking counsel from individuals he knew during his time as a working royal, after becoming dissatisfied with advice from those based in the US, reports the Mirror .

As per an insider speaking to the Mail On Sunday, "Harry is turning away from all sorts of Hollywood publicists and is seeking counsel from his old friends and associates. He is clearly reaching out thinking, 'I need to do something different because what I'm doing is clearly not working'. In short, he is rethinking the way he operates."

    Surprising messages.

Surprise outreach efforts include Prince Harry sending conciliatory messages through WhatsApp to former mates in a bid to re-establish ties back in Britain, though insiders insist a full-time return isn't likely.

Yet whispers suggest a strategic plan dubbed "Operation Bring Harry In From The Cold" is being whispered among friends eager to bridge the gap for Harry back in the UK. A source confided to The Sun: "Harry is feeling more and more isolated in California, which is why he has been reconnecting with old friends back home."

And during their Colombia tour, it became evident to many observers that Meghan's at ease in the limelight while Harry seems discontented in her shadow. "The Colombia trip also really highlighted how Meghan is comfortable stepping into the spotlight, while Harry cuts a very sulky, unhappy figure in the background. He wants to carve out a way back into royal life back in the UK and is seeking counsel from old friends and associates."

    Revelations in Spare.

With Harry potentially eyeing up a pathway back to his UK roots, repairing rifts with the royals might be imperative if he hopes to rejoin Royal circles.

Just last week, rumours were swirling that King Charles might be looking to mend fences with his younger son. One move that could have been seen as a peace offering relates to his contentious memoir, Spare.

In the tell-all book, the Duke of Sussex made several allegations about his family, including claims that Prince William labelled his wife Meghan Markle as 'difficult', 'rude' and 'abrasive', and even shoved him into a dog bowl. He also alleged that King Charles was envious of the Prince and Princess of Wales and that Charles denied Meghan permission to join her husband in Scotland when the late Queen was on her deathbed.

Publisher Penguin has announced that Spare, initially published in January 2023, will be reissued in paperback format this October. Typically, when a non-fiction book is released in paperback, it includes additional chapters or updated information.

However, in what could be interpreted as a gesture of goodwill towards Charles, William, and the rest of the Royal family, the paperback edition of Spare will not feature any new information. It will sport the same cover image in a fresh design package, but the "contents of the book are unchanged."

    Book silence.

When Spare first hit the shelves nearly two years ago, Harry launched a publicity blitz to promote it.

In a candid chat with ITV's Tom Bradby, he refuted the claim that he labeled the Royal Family 'racist' during his explosive sit-down with Oprah Winfrey.

However, the Daily Mail reports that Harry isn't planning any further interviews to promote the upcoming paperback release. A pal revealed to the outlet: "The paperback was a part of the book deal he signed, but he is not contractually obliged to promote this edition. The reason it has taken longer than usual for the paperback to be published is that the more expensive hardback was still selling well."

    Explosive revelations.

Hints of Prince Harry's desire for a UK comeback have been emerging not just recently.

Reports from as early as February suggested that the Duke of Sussex, soon to hit 40, was open to aiding the Royal Family during a health scare. It was reported back in February that Harry was ready to assume a temporary Royal duty while his father received cancer treatment and also as the Princess of Wales dealt with her own health issues.

A source informed The Times: "On all practical levels it makes perfect sense for the family to come together to support the King while he's sick. Much has been said on both sides in recent years, but that has never diminished the fundamental bond of blood, and there are now pragmatic aspects to consider, with the King and Kate's wellbeing paramount in this."

This follows Harry's suggestion during a February interview with a US morning show that the King's illness might pave the way for a reunion with his father. Harry also expressed his love for his family and gratitude for the opportunity to spend time with his father when he returned to the UK following the disclosure of his father's cancer diagnosis.
