There are many hidden secrets for tourists to discover in and around Dublin and this lovely beach is just one of them . Tourists flock to Dublin in their millions every year.

In the Irish capital, they go to well-reviewed attractions such as the Guinness Storehouse and Temple Bar . These attractions are definitely worth visiting, with the many positive tourist reviews as proof .

However, sometimes visitors to this Irish city enjoy traveling a bit outside of the hustle and bustle to find places off the beaten track . One of those places is the lovely village of Malahide just north of the city.

Here, there is a beach that visitors consider to be one of the best in the country. In fact, it is ranked as the 22nd-best beach in the country according to Tripadvisor reviewers.

Malahide Beach consists of grand stretches of sand dunes and sweeping coastal views. Located at the end of the Swords Estuary, it is a popular spot for Dublin locals on a sunny day in the city.

However, not many tourists are familiar with it. Although the currents here do not allow for swimming, it is still a great place to have a picnic and go for a stroll.

Plus, it is also one of the best places to watch a sunset in all of Dublin. For visitors to the area, many have been pleasantly surprised.

One Tripadvisor reviewer wrote: "Mostly a sandy beach with lovely views of Lambay Island and Donabate beach. You can follow the beach all along the coast road where you pass low rock and high rock which are popular areas for swimmers. If you feel like a longer walk you could walk to Portmarnock beach which is the next village a few miles away."

Another said: "It is a nice beach that really invites [you] to relax." A third wrote: "Beautiful scenery, lovely beach for walk and spend the day and watching the views and taking lovely photos, best during the week... on the weekend can get very busy."

A fourth commented: "A really beautiful beach with breathtaking views of the coastline! It’s only a two- minute walk from the main village!"
