If you're stuck for a new series to binge then Netflix has a new offering that fans can't pull themselves away from .

Viewers are addicted to the new series that stars Jurassic Park legend Jeff Goldblum and has rave reviews just days after its release. The Charlie Covell-led show, titled Kaos , offers comical view of Greek mythology in a refreshing update to classic tales.

Jeff stars as Greek God Zeus in the show and is experiencing paranoia over losing his throne as his wife Hera (Janet McTeer) plots against him behind his back. At the same time Poseidon, played by Cliff Curtis, has developed an uncontrollable hatred for humanity, while David Thewlis' Hades is seen controlling the underworld.

Former pop star Billie Piper also stars in the show as the prophet Cassandra. The eight-part series has already received a strong 70 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes with fans eager for a second season to be confirmed.

One wrote: "FANTASTIC. Entertaining, thought-provoking, compelling, great acting, and a great twist on the classic stories that make up our human history. Kaos is beyond refreshing and a much needed breath of fresh air from so many of the other series being released.

"There will absolutely be a season II, and rightly so. Do yourself a favor… WATCH IT!" A second said: "This show is unbelievable. Please watch Kaos to make sure it doesn't get canceled by Netflix. You will never view Jeff Goldblum the same way, I promise you that."

However, not everyone has been thrilled by the offering as one person slammed the concept posting: "Very dull. I am sure the writers think the show is smart and funny but it is tedious and I am shocked this actually got made."

Another added: "But for Jeff Goldblum, this would have been a Greek tragedy of epic proportions. Instead, it's just a pretentious bore for much of the season. It tried to be elevated, but except for a smattering of funny/interesting scenes scattered throughout, it dragged on and on too long. Zeus should have destroyed this while he had the chance."

Elsewhere another TV fan offered their view from the middle ground writing: "Great concept. Sets are beautiful. Some really great scenes.

"Some are a little wooden. There are a lot of storylines and characters going on and it would have been nice for some of them to be fleshed out a little more but I imagine that’s budgeting issues. Worth a watch."
