    Colorado school on lockdown after shooting at Apalachee High School, Georgia

    Media staging is being set up at a high school east of Colorado Springs, after a total ‘lockdown’ was triggered.

    The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office announced that a media staging of some sort would be taking place shortly, following an incident that happened at a school. They did not provide any further details about the incident, but it occurred just hours after an active shooter was apprehended at Apalachee High School in Georgia .

    The sheriff’s office posted they were on scene at Grand Mountain School - a public high school located northeast of Fountain in the Lorson Ranch area.

  • A spokesperson for Widefield School District 3 says it is unclear why the lockdown alarm was triggered, but law enforcement was going through the school to clear it. It remains unclear whether the lockdown was legitimate or a false alarm.

    Tensions are high as four individuals were killed and several more were injured in a high school shooting in Georgia this morning.
