    Georgia shooting: Colt Gray's victims including teen who just started Apalachee High School and two math teachers

    Four people tragically lost their lives and nine others were injured in a shocking mass shooting at Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia on Wednesday afternoon, just a month into the new academic year.

    The alleged shooter, identified as 14 year old Colt Gray , is accused of fatally shooting two students - Mason Schermerhorn and Christian Angulo - and two maths teachers - Christina Irimie and Richard Aspinwall. He has since been arrested and will face charges as an adult.

    Initially, students believed the lockdown was merely a drill, but they soon discovered the horrifying reality .

    In addition to the fatalities, eight other students and one teacher were injured during the incident. Little information is available about the injured students, but the daughter of the wounded teacher, David Phenix, confirmed that her father was shot in the hip but is expected to recover.

    Mason Schermerhorn

    Mason Schermerhorn, aged 14, was one of the students who sadly lost their lives. The teenager had only recently started at Apalachee, according to friends of his mother who spoke to the New York Times.

    He was reportedly a cheerful boy who loved reading, playing video games and visiting Walt Disney World.

    Doug Kilburn spoke highly of Mason, noting his "upbeat attitude about everything."

    Louis Briscoe shared the harrowing moment he found out about Mason's passing from the teen's mother, stating, "Nobody should have to go through this type of pain."

    Christian Angulo

    Christian Angulo, another 14 year old victim of the tragedy, was remembered by his older sister Lisette Angulo as "a very good kid and very sweet and so caring."

    She mentioned that he was "loved by many" and expressed her deep sorrow over his loss.

    To support the family, a GoFundMe page has been set up to help with funeral expenses. Christian's classmates will remember him as the class clown with a "chill" vibe, according to Fox.

    A student who had known Christian since middle school confessed he was "in denial" when he learned about the tragic event.

    Christina Irimie

    Christina Irimie, one of the two math teachers who lost their lives in the shooting, was 53 years old and cherished by students for her patience and kindness.

    Richard Aspinwall

    The second maths teacher tragically killed was 39 year old Richard Aspinwall, who also served as the school's American football defensive coordinator, according to US media reports. He received high praise from his sporting colleagues.

    Mountain View High School, where Aspinwall previously taught and coached, extended their "thoughts and prayers to the victim's family.

    Football coach of nearby Buford High School, Brandon Gill, paid tribute to Aspinwall on social media, writing he was a ".

    Brandon Gill, the football coach at nearby Buford High School, paid a heartfelt tribute to Aspinwall on social media, describing him as a "helluva human being" who "would do anything for anyone."

    He further lauded the late teacher as an "amazing husband, father, teacher and coach".
