Netflix subscribers are hooked on an 'unbelievably good' drama that's drawing comparisons to Grey's Anatomy. The Spanish-language medical series, Breathless , landed on the streaming giant last week (August 30) and has quickly become a sensation.

Set in a public hospital in Valencia, the show portrays the staff's decision to strike . Currently topping Netflix's TV charts globally, Breathless has fans clamoring for more after binging all eight episodes, with Grey's Anatomy enthusiasts giving it the thumbs up.

Penned by Elite co-creator Carlos Montero, the series features Manu Rios, known as Patrick Blanco, alongside stars Najwa Nimri, Aitana Sanchez Gijon, Blanca Suarez, Borja Luna, and Alfonso Bassave.

The synopsis of Breathless states: "Joaquin Sorolla is much more than a public hospital in Valencia where lives are saved on a daily basis. Doctors and residents work hard in the frenetic pace of the emergency room, where tensions, emotions and even desire accelerate the hearts of a staff who live increasingly on the edge.

"The arrival of a distinguished patient highlights the complicated situation of the public health system, lighting the fuse for what is to become an unprecedented and drastic strike," reports the Mirror .

Fans on X have been vocal about their latest binge-worthy find. One viewer exclaimed: "This show, Breathless (Respira) on Netflix , has caught my eye and it's so good. Like unbelievably good. Give it a go," while another shared their excitement: "Just started watching a show on Netflix and it's so good I cannot stop watching," and then confirmed they were referring to the same series."
