The grandmother of the 14-year-old Apalachee High School shooter reportedly visited the premises of the school the day before he carried out the massacre .

Colt Gray, 14, was arrested after the shooting, and police confirmed that he uttered three chilling words as he was being apprehended .

It is believed that the teenager's maternal grandmother visited the school to discuss the suspect's alleged behavioral issues , hours before he shot and killed several people on the school grounds.

Speaking to CBS News, the maternal grandfather of suspect Colt Gray said: "My wife had gone up there…the day before and met with the teachers to get him some, they were having some problems with him not going to school, and this kind of thing.

"So, my wife went up there. This was the day before all this stuff happened."

This development comes not long after the father of Colt Gray revealed that his son was reportedly "bullied for being gay" at school.

Colin Gray, 54, shared with investigators that his son faced constant ridicule at schoo l, stating: "It was very difficult for him to go to school and not get picked on".

So this child was abused at home and bullied at school...wow .. Yes, he did this crime, and my heart goes out to the lives that were lost, the school/families, the community and everyone affected by this tragedy... including the young boy that did this... I know he is responsible and will have to pay for his crime. I can't fathom the pain the entire community is going through, but I can't help to feel sorry for this child, too. Yes, I said that...he made a very, very bad decision that day and he took the lives of innocent people, but look at his past...look at his mess of his family life. Parents, do a better job... My heart breaks 💔 for everyone involved, and yes, I am including this young child 💔.

I am not defending the boy, but there were clear warning signs. The family and the school faculty both knew about his troubles. The Children's Services' usual cop is "well, if the child isn't being physically beaten, we can't do anything about it."
