    Kate Middleton's 'stripped back' approach 'will be the making of' the modern Royal Family - exclusive

    Kate Middleton has been praised for sharing a touching and "incredibly intimate" glimpse of her family life with Prince William which royal insiders say will be the "making of them."

    The Princess of Wales released a video on Instagram, showcasing her restful summer with her husband and children amid her cancer battle . She announced she’s finished chemotherapy treatment .

    As the stunning Princess walked arm-in-arm with Prince William, while their children played in haystacks and shared precious moments with their parents larking around against an idyllic Norfolk backdrop, royal watchers all said the same thing.

    An insider told The Irish Star: "Princess Kate's touching cancer update shows an incredibly 'natural' and 'loving' side to the royal family that is rarely seen - and in many ways will be the making of them.

    "The Royal Family have been known to maintain an air of mystery over the years, but William and Kate's film has done something incredible. It has broken down walls and shown people they are in many ways, just like us mere mortals too. It is touching and relatable, giving fans a glimpse into their rural family life as they treasure quality time together, laughing and making precious memories.

    "It shows Kate stripped back - as a loving mother - and Prince William as a doting father. They have set a precedence for what's to come in the future. It's a new look for the royal family which people have been longing to see."

    Kate stunned the world by opening up about her cancer journey over the last nine months. While her treatment is finished, she said the path to recovery is still long . She’s looking forward to getting back to public engagements in the future.

    She said: “As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment.

    “The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown. The cancer journey is complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you.

    “With humility, it also brings you face to face with your own vulnerabilities in a way you have never considered before, and with that, a new perspective on everything.”

    She narrated the video of her family exploring the outdoors, laughing with one another and posing for group photos. The princess revealed the time away from the spotlight has allowed her to reflect and be grateful for the most important things in life.

    She spent the summer with the Prince of Wales and their children at Anmer Hall, their home in Norfolk. She’s now back in Windsor after the summer holiday.
