PGA Tour star Sahith Theegala 's girlfriend has detailed the perks of his $7.5million prize from finishing in third place at the Tour Championship in Atlanta.

Juju Julianna took to her TikTok to page to list the perks of Theegala's substantial cash influx after he finished behind event winner Scottie Scheffler and Colin Morakawa on 24 under par to take his share of the prize money. His result has left him ranked at an all-time career best of 11th in the world and he is now in contention to play in next year’s Ryder Cup.

Julianna - who already gained attention when she bemoaned the fact he would not fly her home on a private jet - told her fans on TikTok: “My boyfriend just finished third on the PGA Tour for the season-long race so let’s talk about what that gets him.

“The two biggest benefits are received by everybody in the top 30. So everybody who makes Tour Championship receives a two-year exemption on Tour which means they are all guaranteed their PGA Tour card, full exemption status, for the next two years, which is the same as if you win an event, you receive a two-year exemption. So Sahith is guaranteed his PGA Tour card for the 2025 and 2026 seasons.

“The next biggest thing that the entire top 30 receives is an exemption into all four majors for the next season. So for 2025, Sahith will be in all four major – The Masters, The PGA, US Open and the Open Championship.”

She continued: “Now for a couple of things that are more specific to Sahith. This was Sahith’s third year on Tour. So because he gets two more years exempt he will qualify now for his retirement plan. So you have to reach five years on Tour - they don’t have to be consecutive - but you have to reach five years on Tour to get retirement.

“So since Sahith has now locked up his final two years of that five years he will be guaranteed retirement from the PGA Tour. Sahith got third-place money so he ended up getting $7.5million (£5.7m) for his third place at the Tour Championship. So part of the money he receives from that $7.5m will go into his retirement fund automatically."

Giving even more detail she added: “There are some little things that come with your FedEx Cup ranking for the next year. The one that I know of is that Sahith will get to choose his Pro-Am times every week. Every week the players have to play in a Pro-Am, unless it’s a major, where people pay to play with the pros. And based on your FedEx Cup ranking from the year prior you get to decide which Pro-Am tee time you want."

She then concluded her in-depth explanation: "Last thing that I forgot is he also obviously gets into all the signature events and that’s for everybody in the top 50 from the year prior. So there are eight signature events next year and he’ll be in all of them, which is great.”
