Dave Grohl reveals baby outside marriage and admits cheating on wife Jordyn Blum with groveling statement

Dave Grohl has disclosed he's been unfaithful to his wife and has fathered a child secretly.

The shocking admission came out on his social media, where he announced the arrival of his new daughter and his attempts at seeking his wife's pardon. The 55 year old rock star, famed as one of the kindest figures in the music industry, also seemed eager to maintain his good reputation among his admirers.

On Instagram this Tuesday, the revered frontman of Foo Fighters confessed: "I've recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage. I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness."

Furthermore, Dave remarked: "We're grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together. Dave."

He went on to turn off the comment option on his post, preventing followers from leaving direct responses to his stunning revelation. Nonetheless, his two oldest daughters, Violet and Harper, seem to have given a silent response to the news as both have deactivated their Instagram profiles after their father's confession of infidelity was published, reports the Mirror .

Meanwhile, over on another platform, fan reactions could be termed frenzied. An incensed follower exclaimed in shock: "dave grohl cheating on his wife and having a whole baby outside of his marriage was not on my ------- 2024 bingo card."

One fan was totally taken aback, saying: "Well, I'll be damned Dave Grohl. Wasn't expecting that one today."

Another was just as surprised by how the news was presented, commenting: "Dave Grohl is having a child out of wedlock and announced it like a football team firing its coach lol."

Dave Grohl, famed frontman of the Foo Fighters, has been hitched to model and TV producer Jordyn Blum, 48, since 2003. The pair are proud parents to three girls; Violet Maye, who arrived in 2006 and is now 18, Harper Willow, who's 15 and was born in 2009, and Ophelia Saint, the youngest at 10, born in 2014.

The 'Times Like These' vocalist and his missus were spotted at Wimbledon in London earlier this summer. Snaps from the event show them together, which in hindsight, might suggest they weren't all smiles.

July's photos capture Dave with his locks pulled back, sporting sunglasses and looking rather sombre. Jordyn was right there next to him, donning a blue top and seemingly tight-lipped.

Back then, fans were buzzing online about Dave's unusually polished appearance at the tennis matches. One admirer posted: "Almost didn't recognize the clean-cut Dave Grohl attending day two of the @Wimbledon championships."

Another chimed in: "Dapper DAVE GROHL and his wife Jordyn at the Wimbledon Championships in London. Can't remember the last time Dave was this dressed up. A rare sight! (Check out his shoes. Pretty sure that 'DG' actually stands for 'Dave Grohl' and not 'Dolce and Gabbana')."

Jordyn is Dave's number two in the matrimony department, having tied the knot after his first go at marriage with photographer Jennifer Leigh Youngblood didn't pan out. Their hitching lasted from 1994 till 1997, and word on the street has it that Dave fessed up to playing away from home.

Back in 2007, The Guardian dropped this tidbit: "The admitted infidelities that led to his divorce from first wife Jennifer Youngblood in 1997. [This] caused the departure from the Foo Fighters ranks of Pat Smear, latterly Nirvana's auxiliary guitarist and a close friend of Youngblood."

In a moment of reflection in 1999, Dave let slip: "I was 25, my wife was even younger. We weren't ready to get married. I miss her a tonne, she's the funniest goddamn weirdo you ever met in your life. Absolutely adorable. It would have been better had we not got married. But you live and you learn."
