A mother is looking for answers after her son came home from school with a bad haircut .

Rachelle Plumley, 26, posted the situation on Facebook. She shared that she sent her autistic son Asiah, 7, to school with his hair in a long braid down his back.

When he came home from Frontier Public School in Noble County, Oklahoma , he had choppy bangs.

She wrote: “They had the nerve to tell me he did it to his self but Asiah is afraid of haircuts, hints why we let it grow so long.” (sic)

Her son is in a special education program at his school as well. If he did cut his own hair, she questioned why he would have been unsupervised by his three teaching aids.

“The fact that it’s so straight like bangs makes me think someone did it to him. I can’t stop crying and he keeps telling me it’s okay mom,” she said.

Rachelle spoke with FOX 8 News, saying Asiah is autistic and nonverbal. Because of this, they asked the teachers what happened.

“She said he went behind the teacher’s desk, just took the scissors, and cut his hair,” the angry mother said.

She doesn’t believe that story, however, and she wants someone to be held accountable.

“Even if he did do this to himself, I feel like the school is still held accountable for not paying attention and being there for my son that I’m trusting them to do everyday.”

Rachelle and Asiah are Native American, and hair represents strength in their culture. While the chop makes her sad, he still has most of his long locks.

“…it means a lot to us and he wouldn’t have done this to himself,” she continued.

Frontier Public Schools Superintendent Erron Kauk told FOX 8: “We take a lot of pride in what we do here in Frontier about our Native American heritage as well as any other heritage we have.

“But there was accusations that a student got their hair cut by a school employee. We took that very seriously and we checked into it and investigated. That did not happen.”

He said he couldn’t go into detail, but he did a thorough investigation himself and came to the conclusion that a school employee did not cut the student’s hair.

I would be dealing with whom ever did that. I don't care if they are a teacher or a Nun They would think Satan walked in that place.

Her son didn't do that , his hair would've been unevenly cut if he did it himself. That teacher needs to be fired
