Spanish golfing sensation Jon Rahm is eyeing up a significant addition to his already substantial net worth this weekend as he vies for the title of 2024 LIV Golf individual champion.

Rahm sent shockwaves through the golfing world when he made the switch to the Saudi Arabian-backed league at the end of last year. This move has since seen a considerable increase in his financial standing.

Currently leading the season-long standings with just one regular event left to play, Rahm is set for a showdown with Joaquin Niemann in Chicago . After a series of near misses this season, Rahm is eager to conclude his campaign with a whopping £ 14 million payday.

His decision to join LIV not only rocked the PGA Tour but also landed him a record-breaking contract. From his lucrative deal with the Saudi-funded league to his career earnings to date, we delve into the wealth of this Spanish superstar, reports the Mirror .

So, what is Jon Rahm's net worth?

The 2023 Masters champion is recognized as one of the wealthiest golfers globally. Shortly after securing his Master's title, Rahm set a new PGA Tour single-season official money record, raking in over $ 15 million (£ 12 million), finishing just behind Scottie Scheffler.

Despite his relatively short career on the PGA Tour, Rahm ranks among its highest earners, having bagged over $50million (£38million) in prize money alone. He also features on the all-time DP World Tour money list, having earned over $26million (£20million) on the European circuit.

However, everything changed when Rahm joined LIV, significantly boosting his earnings. Rahm has made up to $79million (£60million) solely from golf during his impressive career, but he's also raking in big bucks off the course with numerous sponsorship deals.

The Spanish golfer signed a profitable contract with Callaway in 2021 after previously working with TaylorMade and Adidas since turning professional in 2016. He is now a part-owner of Legion XIII, his LIV Golf team.

He has also promoted high-profile brands such as TopGolf, VistaJet, Mercedes-Benz, and Rolex. While his exact net worth is unknown, it is estimated to be around the $100m (£76million) mark, based on his current career earnings.

    Rahm's record-breaking LIV Golf deal.

Rahm's decision to join LIV golf certainly raised eyebrows, but few could resist the amounts being offered. According to reports, Rahm signed a staggering $500million (£386m) contract, the largest in LIV Golf history.

The deal was so substantial that it even exceeded the £160m contract Phil Mickelson received in 2022, which previously held the record. Rahm's LIV contract runs until 2028 and reportedly includes shares in the Saudi-backed tour.

But that's not all. Rahm reportedly has access to one of the Saudi Royal Family's private jets and a team of 10 personal assistants who provide round-the-clock care for him and his family.

Jon Rahm's LIV earnings so far.

In his debut year on the circuit, Rahm has secured 11 top-10 finishes in 12 starts and is still on track to lead the individual standings. His team, Legion XIII, is also nearing the top of the team rankings.

Rahm's financial situation was significantly improved by his first event in Mayakoba, where he earned $1,250,000 (£959,000), not including his signing-on fee. Golf Monthly reports that Rahm then pocketed $525,000 (£402,000) for finishing solo eighth in Las Vegas , while a solo fifth place in Jeddah netted him a cool $800,000 (£613,000).

Another tied eighth place in Hong Kong saw Rahm take home $396,071 (£303,000). Other substantial payouts throughout the year, such as $833,333 (£638,000) in Miami and $920,000 (£705,000) in Adelaide, have seen his wealth skyrocket.

In total, the Spanish star is estimated to have raked in an impressive $25.5million (£19.5million) during his short stint with LIV. As he heads into this weekend's LIV tournament, Rahm is just three points ahead of Niemann in the individual standings.

If he manages to finish ahead of his Chilean competitor, he will secure another hefty payday as he aims to close the gap on the richest players in golf history.
