Dave Grohl addresses viral post about alleged love child and 'first baby' photo

Dave Grohl has responded to a viral post claiming to show a picture of a child he fathered outside his marriage . The Foo Fighters frontman, 55, stunned fans this week when he confessed to being unfaithful to his wife, Jordyn Blum, and having a child as a result.

Shortly after his shocking revelation, an Instagram post purporting to show his new daughter - named Roxie Junie Grohl - spread like wildfire. However, a spokesperson for Dave told TMZ that the post is not genuine.

The post was initially shared by @valeriegreyston on Wednesday , featuring a photo of a well-manicured hand holding that of a newborn baby girl, accompanied by a lengthy caption.

The caption read: "My sweet Roxie Junie Grohl, being your mama has already been the most incredible experience of my life. Every day, I fall more in love with you and this new role. Your dad was by my side throughout the entire pregnancy, ensuring we were both looked after, and I'm so grateful for his love and support," reports the Mirror .

"I'm new to this whole baby mama thing, but I promise to always do my best for you. As much as I want to share my joy with the world, I also need to protect our privacy right now. I'm glad that everyone knows about you, though, because you are such a special part of my life.

"PS Roxie, every time I look at you, I see so much of your dad in your face - it's like a little reflection of him in the tiniest, most beautiful way. From the shape of your eyes to the way your little nose crinkles when you smile, you are truly a Grohl through and through.

"It's amazing how much of him is already shining in you. Your dad is so proudly that you carry on his family's spirit, and I can already tell you have that same strength and kindness in you.
