Meghan Markle may have already initiated the process of mending her strained relationship with Kate Middleton . The Duchess of Sussex and the Princess of Wales have had a tense relationship in recent years. The Sussexes targeted several members of the Royal Family in their explosive Netflix docuseries, with Harry further criticizing his family in his debut memoir Spare.

It's also believed Meghan is preparing to "set the record straight" about her time in The Firm by writing her own memoir. Reports suggest that the Duchess of Sussex made the Princess of Wales cry just four days before her wedding to Harry. However, during a dramatic interview with Oprah Winfrey, Meghan claimed it was actually the other way around.

The former actress confessed she had been "hurt" by Kate's actions. Harry detailed the situation in his memoir, Spare, reports the Mirror .

The Duke of Sussex revealed he found Meghan crying "on the floor" after a disagreement with Kate over bridesmaid dresses. Kate is alleged to have told Meghan there was a "problem" with her daughter Princess Charlotte's dress.

She's then reported to have said all of the bridesmaid dresses needed to be "completely remade."

Meghan is reportedly ready to extend an olive branch following Kate's recent health concerns, as insiders reveal there's been progress in mending fences. "Meghan has contacted Kate and Charles," reported US Weekly from a source inside the scene.

A second insider shared: "Meghan is supportive of Harry in all of this, and she wishes the royals - Kate included - the very best." Moreover, it's suggested that Princess Kate feels optimistic about burying the hatchet and looks to move ahead without intruding in Prince William's relationship with Prince Harry.

"They can use this as a starting point," added the insider, suggesting a new dawn for the Royal relations. "The consensus is that life is too short, and there's hope this will lead to repairing the rift."

Further information indicates that while Meghan didn't accompany Harry on his recent UK visit to see King Charles, she wholeheartedly supported his decision.

"Meghan was in total agreement that Harry had to be there," the source affirmed, highlighting her backing of Harry's attempt at reconciliation. "He got to tell his father how much he loves him and get a fuller account of what Charles is facing."
